Fun Facts
Favorite childhood memory…
I was fortunate to grow up near the Uinta Mountain chain in Utah, so our family would spend a lot of time during the summers hiking to lakes and camping. We did pack-in/pack-out camping so there wasn't anything glamorous about it, but I learned to pack smartly and the lake at the end was ALWAYS worth the effort. I think growing up with an avid hiking family taught me a lot about myself and how to really appreciate nature.
About my family
I have been married to my husband, Jerry, for 12 years. He is the Intelligence Analyst for Adidas in Portland and is definitely my rock. Together we have two kids (Kaia and Erik) who are active in choir, football, soccer, running club, and scouts. I consider my third baby my dog, Pippa, who is a rescue and loves to help me get in shape, as well as forgives me when I chose the couch for the day. I recently retired from the military (8 years in the Air Force and 12 years in the Army) as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. Our family has lived all over the country but are so pleased now to have a forever home in the PNW. We recently bought our dream home in Vancouver on some acreage and just love being together in it, making new and special memories.
In my spare time…
I just moved to Vancouver from Southern CA, so recently I've enjoyed exploring the area. Our family has ventured to the "Fruit Loop" at Mount Hood, which was my favorite activity so far, and new friends I have made here have awakened my love for PNW wine tasting. Otherwise, I AM a binge-watcher of shows (Yellowstone is my current show), and love being a bonafide home-body.
A question I wish I was asked more…
Q: How often should I hug my child?
I absolutely love any question pertaining to improved sleep hygiene. It is so important and affects so many aspects of our health!
