Chelsea Birt, CSWA

Location: Happy Valley

Credentials: CSWA - Portland State University School of Social Work, Portland, OR

I believe that having a space where we are encouraged to be vulnerable about our thoughts, feelings and behaviors will open opportunities to find effective strategies and coping mechanisms to feel capable to show up as your best self. I strongly believe we all are doing the best we can with the information we have, and my goal is to help my clients be curious about what can they learn about themselves, their loved ones and the structures they live within to build more hope, connection and courage

About Chelsea

Chelsea was born and raised in Canby, Oregon and enjoys serving her local community.  She recently graduated from Portland State University where she received a master’s degree in social work and is currently a Clinical Social Work Associate.  Chelsea primarily integrates Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, and Strengths-Based Therapies into her practice with unwavering positive regard and optimism. Her approach is grounded in the logic that humans need community for survival and so working in community is essential for healing and growth. She believes having a safe space and nonjudgmental provider allows you to feel seen and heard for the person you were, the person you are, and the person you strive to be is the foundation to meaningful treatment.

At the end of the day when she takes her therapist hat off, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her husband, adorable daughter watching Disney movies, baking not-so-healthy treats, playing chess and going on adventures.
